This is the description of the first steps in the mysterious world of Florensia. You have decided to face this adventure? – Then be prepared!

After creating your free account on the homepage www.florensia-online.com, downloading and installing the game, you will enter the exciting world of Florensia. After starting the program, you will find all current news about Florensia on the right side of the welcome screen. On the left side you may choose the language the announcements and the buttons shall be displayed in. In the lower section you can find other direct links to the help system, as well as to the Itemshop, in which you can change your AP into individual equipment and useful items. Further information about the Itemshop and about uploading your AP can be found on the Florensia website. If there had been an update, it might take some time until the Patch will be downloaded onto your computer, but then the game will be ready. As soon as the process has been completed, the start button will turn green. Let’s go!

Now you can log in with your Florensia user ID and you will have the possibility to choose between three servers, LuxPlena, Bergruen and Pardioc.

Tip: You already got an alaplaya user ID? Then you will be able to use this ID to play Florensia as well, so you don’t have to register for a second time! Of course that does also work the other way round ;)


LuxPlena is the European Server, including the Worlds English1, Italian & Spanish, Turkish, French1 and French2. On Bergruen, you will find 3 German-speaking Worlds and Pardioc is based on servers for North- and Southamerica. The language of each World refers to the official language in the Chat in the World. That means that f.e. you of course do not have to be from Turkey in order to be allowed to play on the Turkish World of LuxPlena; however you have to keep to the rules for the communication in the Shout-, Trade- and General Chat in Turkish language.

As your next step, you have the possibility to create your own, individual representative character by clicking on the icon New Char in the lower right part of the screen. You may choose between four Character Classes:

1. Explorer
   The Explorer belongs to the fastest and alertest characters in game. Equipped with either Dual Guns, a Rifle or a One-handed Sword, he can attack his enemies even in a great distance. With Level 40, you can become either an Excavator or a Sniper. Excavators mainly use the quick Dual Guns, while the Sniper prefers attacking with his Rifle.
2. Noble
   The Noble might be physically weak, but commands powerful, magical energies. Thus he uses a Cariad, a Rapier or a Dagger in battle. With Level 40,
3. you can either become a Court Magician or a Magic Knight. Court Magicians fell their enemies by using the power of the elements, the Magic Knights on the other hand use many spells to confuse and seduce them.
4. Saint
   The Saint is characterized by his strong healing and supporting skills. He can use a Cariad, a Two-handed Sword or a Dagger. With Level 40, you can decide whether you want to become a Shaman or a Priest. While the Priest uses his medicative skills to help his fellows, the Shaman mercilessly attacks his enemies with dark magic.
5. Mercenary
   A Mercenary was born to become a warrior. With the Two-handed Sword, the One-handed Sword and Shield, the Dagger, the Rapier or the Rifle, he can cause a lot of damage! With Level 40, you can either become a Gladiator or a Guardian Swordsman. The Gladiator can inflict hight damage on his opponents with his Two-handed Sword, while the Guardian Swordsman defends himself and his friends with his Shield and his life.

After you have chosen your Name and your Character Class, you can now not only choose your representation‟s sex, but also individualize him in respect of the form of his face, the hair- and eye color so that he will suit your own personal vision.


Take your time and test all combinations. It is your character!

Tip: The choice of your Server does not affect the quality or the number of available characters. Note however that you cannot play with a character created on one Server (f.e. Pardioc) on another Server (f.e. LuxPlena), but on all Worlds within your Server (f.e. Pardioc).

You have the possibility to create up to five Characters on each Server.

Let's have a look on your screen:


On the left upper part you can see the picture of your figure, as well as your level in the blue circle. The red bar shows your HP, that is your life-points, and the blue bar illustrates your MP, which are used for performing special attacks or spells, so called Skills.

In the right upper part, you can see the Map. The arrow shows your current whereabouts and you are able to tell the direction you are allocated to by the turquoise beam. By clicking on the magnifier icon on the right side, you can open the whole map. Here you will notice the map‟s allocation into coordinates, consisting of letters and numbers. I will use them later on for orientation. By clicking on the button with the two bubbles in it, you can open the Community Menu, in which you can find your Friend List, a List of your Letters, the Speech Bubble, your Guild and the Party Recruit Board.

You can add your friends to your Friend List and f.e. invite them to your Party there.

Tip: Playing together with your friends is not only more fun, but can also be extremely helpful, especially when you have to defeat stronger monsters!

Use the List of your Letters, to write your friends a message. They will either get your letter at once or, if they are currently offline, after logging in to the game again.

With the Speech Bubble function, you can put a bubble onto your head (normal) or open a Party on the Party Recruit Board (Party Board).

If you have joined a Guild, you will be able to get further information about it after clicking the button.

In the Party Recruit Board you can find Partys of other players, which you can join when they accept your request. You are moreover able to whisper with the Party Leaders first, that means you can write them a private message, in order to f.e. ask them something.

By mentioning the Whisper-function, we reached the next part of the screen on the left lower part. Here you can find the Buttons Keymap and the Chat. Clicking the button Keymap will show you the “short cuts” of the keys in the game.

In the chat line below the chat, you can write own messages. The Chat is divided into different types of Chats: General Chat, Party Chat, Guild Chat, Trade Chat, Shout Chat and Whisper.

• The General Chat will be displayed to all people close-by
• The Party Chat can only be read by the members of the Party you are playing in.
• With the Guild Chat, you can communicate with your Guild. This Chat is the only one which is not bound to one World - that means that all members of your Guild can read this Chat, no matter on which World they are playing.
• In the Trade Chat you can offer items to other players and pursue their offers.
• The Shout Chat covers the whole World you are playing in. Every player may read what you have been writing.
• With the Whisper-function, you can talk to a single person, whose name has to be entered into the small line between the chat line and the chat window.

To switch between the single chat modes, you only have to click on the small arrow next to the display, where the presently chosen Chat is shown. As easy as that! ;)

Tip: Use the Shout Chat, to take part in discussions about Florensia and the community actively. Other players can give you invaluable advices and answer a lot of your questions to the world of Florensia. Thus please use this chat responsibly, preserve the manners and avoid writing a submission over and over (Spam) or an repeated use of CAPS!

The bar on the bottom of the screen shows your already reached Experience Points (EXP) of your current Land Level. You get EXP after defeating mean monsters or fulfilling Quests, which can be accepted at NPCs (Non Personal Character). When you gain 100%, you will reach your next Level!

Tip: You can increase the rate of EXP you get defeating monsters significantly using EXP-Potions that can be bought in the Itemshop!

In the right lower part, above the EXP-bar, you can see the bar with the Land/Sea Quick Slots. You can pull your Skills and some Items of your Inventory there by using drag and drop, to have them at your fingertips quickly. That can be your rescue in a hard battle!

You will find Scrolls with a questionmark on them over and over, which explain the most important functions of the game and have some important advices for you in store!

Moreover you can find the Character Information on the right side, the Inventory, Ship Information, Skills, Quests, the Itemshop and the Main Menu.

In the Character Information you can find further information about your character, like your strength or your condition, and various Attacking- and Defence-values.

In the Inventory you can have a look at your equipment and your weapons, accessoires and later on your bought items. Furthermore you can find a display there, which tells you how much Gelt your character is carrying. Gelt is the ingame currency of Florensia that can be gained f.e. by fulfilling your Quests or from a defeated monster.

Tip: You can expand your Inventory with the 24 Bag Slots from the Itemshop up to four times so that you will get enough space for your items. Items you don‟t want to carry with you all the time can be put into your Bank Account (see below).

Moreover you can equip your weapons there in the upper part on the left side. To do so, right-click on the weapon in your inventory you want to equip and it will be displayed in one of the three tiny windows. Besides you can put on your suit of armor in the column in the middle and the right part offers enough space for your accessories like rings or necklaces.

Have a look at all data about your ship, like its attack strength, your current Crew or its condition at the Ship Information.

In the next window you can see lists with your Skills, both your Land and your Sea Skills. To learn a Skill, you first have to reach the required Level and then buy the respective Skill Book. You can upgrade your Skills differently high, what makes them better and that means: you will become stronger!

Under the point Quests you can find a list with all the Quests you accepted. There you can also re-read the requirements to execute the Quest or give it up, to start it once again.

Enter the Florensia Itemshop via the Itemshop-button, which has numerous individual outfits, powerful potions and limited items for you in store.

By using the button Main Menu, you will be directed to the menu where you can f.e. change the game’s settings or choose another character of your troop.

Your name will be displayed above your head. It still looks innocent white, but one day you will be able to decide, which path you want to take in the world of Florensia. Will you become a fighter loyal to the Royal Army and defend the cities against enemies' violations and monsters – or do you prefer living the life of an outlaw, a Pirate, who thirsts to let the Royal Army‟s bulwark tremble together with his companions?

The name reveals the propensity: A green name refers to a member of the Royal Army, loyal to the Crown, a red name exposes a player – he is a wicked Pirate. In the course of time, your name will become lightly green, as soon as you have defeated enough monsters. Do you want to go on like that?

Or do you want to take your fate into your own hands and have the heart to fight against the law enforcement officers in the War Zones? Having defeated enough of them in a duel, you will become a prestigious Pirate. It’s you who decides!


The City:

Entering the game with your new Character for the first time, you find yourself in the city of Roxbury on Cardiff Island. You pop up in this picturesque town next to your Class Master (f.e. Kyra for the Explorers).

Have a look around first! Isn‟t the view at the harbor really beautiful? Perhaps your ship will anchor here once! On your walkabout you will moreover meet many interesting players and maybe contract your first friendships here.


Tip: In town you will often meet old friends or acquaintances: Keep your eyes open!

There are 3 more Islands of this size (Magnel, Exeter and Chester) and a lot of smaller Trading-Islands. In town you will find some NPCs, like Kyra, Jeremiah or Stephen. If there is a golden scroll above the NPC‟s head, they will have a new Quest for you or they have a reward for you, if you have already finished the Quest and the scroll is open. You can accept Quests, fulfill your missions, buy items and experience lots of adventures there.

When you leave the city, you can directly go to Weedridge and Larksdowns. In these landscapes first tasks and eerie monsters await you. Solve the puzzles and subjugate the monsters and gain a lot of EXP!

In the course of the game you will master great challenges, fight in dangerous battles and grow with your tasks. But first of all you should get to know the NPCs that will be important for your first steps in the world of Florensia.

The things you can buy or do at each NPC is explained in the following chart.

1) Access to the Harbour

Unlike other MMOGs, Florensia does not only consist of many various landspaces, but also of a Sea-Map with an enormous number of islands. At the harbor you will have the possibility to explore these islands and their beaches with your own ship.

2) Access to the Dockyard

For sea-fights you can build and register your ship at the dockyard. Here you can choose between different kinds of ships. The Armored Ship is a steel-plated ship and specialized on defence, whereas the Assault Ship is an offensive type of ship with high close-combat damage. The Big Gun Ship with its big cannons is made for long-ranged battles, the Maintenance Ship on the other hand supports other ships like f.e. the Torpedo Ship, which is characterized by his high speed.


The single ship parts you will need to build a ship can be obtained in the first Quests or can be bought at Stephen‟s, the owner of the dockyard.


You can register up to two ships at the dockyard at the same time.

3) Item Break

By breaking an item you can exchange several items into Crystals. Depending on the Level of your item, you will get different Crystals. These Crystals can be used to upgrade new weapons or equipment! (Therefore you will need Upgrade Stones in addition to the Crystals, which can be obtained from many monsters!)
But always keep in mind that the item you used for the Item Break can never be returned again!

4) Item Upgrade

Here you can increase your weapons, shoes, gaunlets, your shirt and your pants. For upgrading, you will need the accordant Crystals (shown in the upper right part of the upgrading-window), as well as the according Upgrade Stones and a certain amount of Gelt. By upgrading an item, you can improve special values, f.e. your attack strength or your avoidance rate and that way increase the value of your item. Each item has a maximum amount of upgrades, whereas the probability for a successful upgrade decreases with every reached Upgrade Level.

Please note that this process might also reset your item on Upgrade Level 0 or that your item could also be destroyed irretrievably!

Tip: Use Items like Mithril Powder to double the chance for a successful upgrade! Moreover the Slate Piece of Ancient offers protection against an initialization or a destruction of your item. You can find more useful items for upgrading in the Itemshop!

5) Guild System

Three players with a Land- and Sealevel of 10 or more can found a guild. Therefore every founder has to pay 10.000 Gelt.

The best thing would be to create a Guild with your friends or to join an existing Guild where you feel comfortable. Members of a guild try to help each other and stay in contact, thus there is a familiar atmosphere.

You can even improve your guild’s standing with Guild Upgrades!

6) Towermaster

From Level 15 on you can enter the Tower in a Party of at least 2 people. Your task will be to defeat a certain number of monsters before the countdown runs out. If you succeed, you will be directed to the next floor. Will you be able to reach the top of the building? For defeating the monsters, you will be rewarded with medals, if you have accepted the according Questshell at the Towermaster‟s before. The medals can be exchanged into strong weapons, so it‟s always worth to give a try!

Tip: Why don‟t you arrange a weekly meeting in the Tower with your guild? Fun and a great rank in the overall standings of the Tower will be your reward!

7) Personal Store

The Personal Store System provides you the opportunity to sell your items or buy other players' items in their Personal Stores. Look for fitting items for your Character Class and always keep your eyes open – maybe you will find some bargains! In order to open your Shop, you will first have to buy a time-limited Licence for some Gelt from Lori, the Personal Store Manager. Don‟t worry, they are not that expensive! At the beginning you can put up to three items into your shop and offer them for sale. But don‟t forget your Personal Store will close automatically, as soon as you leave the game and will open again, when you enter the game again. You may also open and close your Shop manually so that the countdown of your Licence will be interrupted.

Tip: You want to offer more of your items at the same time? Get the Private Shop Extension from the Itemshop!

8) Bank System

In the Charakter Bank you can store your character's items and Gelt for a low fee of 50 Gelt per item. If you want to get your items back, you will not have to pay any more fees.

Tip: Claustrophobia? You can increase the amount of free slots in your Character Bank by 28 with the Private Bank Extension!

The usage of the Account Bank will also be very helpful: With this additional Bank Account, you can pass your items on from one of your characters to another!

9) Sealbreak

Some pieces of equipment you will find while chasing monsters look a bit different to those you can buy at Willy Tin Whistle's and Kitty's stores. In one corner you can see a small lock and when you move your mouse over the item, you can read “Capability of
Seal” in red letters, if you are lucky even multiple times. These Seals can now be revealed to elicit your item additional and appealing status values. To unseal the sealed item, you will need a Bartender's assistance. For each unsealing-process you have to hand in accordant Pearls, which can be caught with your fishing rod and the baits from the grocery store and by using your Fishing-Skill. You will also need a certain amount of Gelt.


To get the Pearls, you will first have to increase your Fishing-Skill on at least Level 1. Now equip your rod and the baits (like a weapon) and go to the harbor. In the Character information you will find the column “Action“, containing an icon with a fish on it. Left-click on this icon and pull it into your Quick Slot-bar so that you will be able to use it right away all the time. By right-clicking on the symbol, your Character will begin to fish.

Now you can relax, as the rest of the work is done by your Character. We will fish as long as his baits will be consumed, your Inventory provides no more free space or you click on the fishing-icon again. After some time, he might also fish some useful weapons or pieces of equipments, but most of the time it will be fish or other loot...besides the Pearls! You can even cook your own food with the fish, so don't throw it away!

Now you can return to the Bartender and let her unseal your item. But don‟t halloo until you‟re out of the wood! Even if your item has 5 Seals, it might happen that the unsealing fails and none of them will open!

Tip: The chance of breaking the seals can be increased by using special Keys from the Itemshop!

10) Trading System

You urgently need some Gelt to buy the hyper-chic gaunlets provided in a Personal Store? Well, of course you could now sell some of your items... or you face a great challenge and help the Owner of the Tradingpost, Jeremiah, to sell the local goods on other islands. Therefore you have to talk with the NPC and buy the delicious and sometimes strange trading goods. You will have to invest some Gelt, but believe me: If you are clever enough, you will once become an experienced and notorious merchant!

You can take up to three different items along with you on your journey to unknown places and 100 pieces of each item can be bought at the same time.
Now the time has come to set sail and to go on a long journey on the ocean, to sell your goods on another island and get the most proit out of the deal. The current prices your treasures can be sold on other islands can be requested at Jeremia's for a little fee of 1.000 Gelt.

Hire an experienced Crew, buy ahead some supplies and weigh the anchor! Explore the wide ocean and master the dangers you will have to face. Defy the Pirates and the sea monsters and get to know everything about new islands and their inhabitants' characters.

For now you are prepared for your first adventures you will have to meet! Do you feel ready? Find new friends, who want to come along with you and who are on your side in your adventures and start your journey together with them!

Now you got the fate in your hands. The world of Florensia awaits you...
